ZONE MOTION
Sports Cognitive

Founded by former Kansas City Royals shortstop and 1985 World Series Champion Buddy Biancalana, Zone Motion is engaged in the delivery of cutting edge mental performance training for athletes in over 30 professional and amateur sports. Buddy uses his proprietary Zone Motion Training System, developed on the heels of his incredible World Series performance, to help athletes quiet their brains in order to access their full abilities in high pressure situations.

In his 20 years of experience as one of the world's leading mind-body coaches, Buddy has worked with high profile athletes including as Derrick Rose, Shane Baz, Scott McCaron, Charlie Hoffman, Adam Ottavino, Austin Davis, Jeremy Affeldt, Matt Cain and MLB Hall of Famer George Brett.

In 2015, Buddy collaborated with the American Sports Medicine Institute for a research project led by baseball biomechanist Dr. Glenn Flesig. The research clearly demonstrated that Zone Motion Training reduced fatigue in baseball pitchers and allowed them to experience more fluidity in their motion. The percentage of strikes thrown by the pitchers increased by an average of 20% as a result of the training.

Another research project analyzed by Orthopedic Surgeon and Andrews Research and Education Institute Sports Medicine Fellow Dr. Kevin Witte showed that Zone Motion Training led to more optimal patterns of muscle recruitment, leading to less fatigue and a reduced risk of soft tissue injury.

Other Zone Motion advocates in the medical community include former Olympic trainer, certified chiropractor, sports physician and president of the Chiro-Medical Group Dr. Scott H. Calzaretta, as well as former MLB and NBA trainer and President of Sports Rehabilitation and Hand Therapy - Kansas City Paul McGannon.

Zone Motion is actively working on producing scalable e-learning solutions to bring their revolutionary training to millions of athletes and high-performers around the globe, and is engaged in late-stage partnership discussions with major brands including baseball's Program15 Future Stars Series and sports technology company Blast Motion.
